Today’s Throwback Thursday post returns from August, 2014.
Did you know that social media has a 100% higher lead-to-close rate than outbound marketing? This is true according to a 2012 study by Hubspot.
Social media can provide some of the best targeted traffic available to your website and offers, but it can also be an incredibly inefficient means of advertising. For example, you can spend the minimum $5 a day on Facebook and come up with nothing day after stinking day (how depressing is that?). So, how do we break the social media code?
First, write better headlines. Easier said than done, right? This is where 80% of your potential customers leave you, which is why this is so important. If you fail here, you fail, period. Work at this – if you master writing great headlines there is a huge payoff. Learn all you can about writing great headlines (for help with this, click here).
Second, if you’re using Twitter for your business, realize that your tweets have a very short life span. Once they appear on the screen, they are soon buried by newer tweets, so make your tweets irresistible and tweet often for greatest impact. Tweeting often means not that you repeat the same tweets over and over again, but that you have new and interesting content to tweet.
Third, Facebook landing pages can be an effective means of gathering customers and clients. Having an email opt-in page on Facebook can increase your conversions and only 10% of brands are doing this, so you will have a leg up on your competition.
There are your three quick tips, now go out and kill it on social media! If you are looking for help in mastering social media for your business, this link will lead you to a great resource for this:
